Joey Swoll, the self-proclaimed “CEO of Gym Positivity,” is back after his Hulk Hogan tribute post almost got him canceled. On August 5, 2025, he discussed a viral gym incident that saw a woman’s exercise ball roll underneath a man lifting weights. Fortunately, he wasn’t injured, though some are wondering if the woman’s actions were intentional.

When it comes to bettering gyms, Swoll is leading the charge. For years, he’s defended those without a voice, calling out individuals who record without consent or simply act unruly. From faking Down syndrome to seeing a deadlifter slapped in the face mid-lift, Swoll has encountered it all.

In his latest endeavor, he examined whether a woman was at fault after her exercise ball rolled underneath a man in the middle of his workout. Some commenters believe she intentionally stalled, while others, such as Swoll, believe she was likely just absent-minded.

Joey Swoll on Woman’s Exercise Ball Rolling Under Gym-Goer: ‘I Would Have Loved to See More Urgency’

In the post, Swoll discussed whether the woman intentionally tried to injure the gym-goer with her exercise ball. Though the circumstances are peculiar, he believes she was likely daydreaming or just absent-minded.

“A lot of people sent me this video asking me if I think that woman did this on purpose.

To be honest, no. I don’t think so, or at least I really hope not, but I would have loved to see some more urgency when going to grab that ball. I do think it’s possible that maybe she was just daydreaming, lost in thought, absent-minded, as we all do in the gym.”

Instead of sitting idle, Swoll said the woman should have gotten up and grabbed the ball. He stressed that gyms can be very dangerous when you don’t pay attention:

“She went to push the ball away, it curved, and, unfortunately, landed underneath that man. She should have just gotten up herself, grabbed the ball, and put it back. Regardless, there is a lesson to be learned here: the gym can be a very dangerous place if you don’t pay attention. Thank god that young man wasn’t seriously injured because he definitely could have been.”

“Please, please, please, pay attention and be careful in the gym,” adds Swoll.

Swoll continues to make gym positivity a real movement. In a previous video, he called out a woman for dressing in lingerie at a packed public gym. According to Swoll, if a man did the same thing, he’d be arrested immediately

Swoll continues to make gyms safer, more welcoming environments one reel at a time. What do you make of his latest video — was it just an accident?
