There are not many athletes in the world currently that have the status of potentially being the powerlifting G.O.A.T., but John Haack is definitely one of the few. So, John once again put up a mind blowing performance to win the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3, an elite competition which took place on April 7 in Miami, Florida. There Haack managed to set a new U100KG All-Time World Record with a 1,043.5-kilogram (2,300.5-pound) Total.
John Haack’s Full Performance
John Haack initially planned on competing in the 90-kilogram weight class, but his cut was not successful. When it came time for him to enter the sauna to lose the final few pounds, Haack realized that it would deplete him of all the energy he had. So, he decided to stop the cut there and compete in the 100-kilogram weight class instead.
Squat
John Haack opened up his performance with a tremendous squat session, successfully making all three of the attempts and setting a new Competition PR of 365 kilograms (804.7 pounds).

Bench Press
John Haack’s bench press turned out to be a bit worse than he expected, having missed his final attempt of 265 kilograms (584.2 pounds). Luckily, it did not ruin his plans of setting a new Total World Record.
235 kilograms (518.1 pounds)
252.5 kilograms (556.7 pounds)
Unsuccessful — 265 kilograms (584.2 pounds)
Deadlift
John Haack’s performance was concluded with a mind-blowing 426-kilogram (939.2-pound) deadlift, which was expected by many, seeing that he set a new PR in training just days before. However, no one expected for him to even improve that PR by such a large margin.
In fact, John Haack managed to deadlift 426 kilograms (939.2 pounds) at the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3, using only a lifting belt and some chalk. His style of deadlifting combined a conventional stance and a mixed grip, which resulted in one of the greatest lifts ever. In turn, his Total came out to 1,043.5 kilograms (2,300.5 pounds), which marked a new U100KG All-Time World Record.
