Men’s Open bodybuilder Jonathan Delarosa has retired from competitive bodybuilding. He confirmed the decision in an Instagram post shared on August 3, 2025, following his sixth-place finish at the Tampa Pro.
Delarosa has long been a mainstay in the stacked Men’s Open division. During his career, he competed across the world — entering and holding his own against top-tier talent at various shows ranging from the Vancouver Pro and Toronto Pro, to his statement win at the Chicago Pro back in 2015.
In 2024, Delarosa enjoyed a massive year in the sport. He defeated finalists Jordan Hutchinson and Mohamed Foda for gold at the Tampa Pro. From there, Delarosa shone en route to a 12th-place finish on the Mr. Olympia stage, the highest of his career. Though he was the defending champion over the weekend in Tampa, Delarosa fell to sixth place, with Hutchinson, whom he beat last year, claiming gold and the coveted Olympia qualification.
