Julius Maddox made headlines a few months back when he broke Kirill Sarychev’s raw bench press record with 739.6lbs. Skeptics and haters were a bit on the iffy side when he did it because even though he made the weight look effortless he didn’t have a stable lockout. However, the three judges gave him a green light and he was officially “the new Sherrif in town” when it came to down to bench pressing. There was no one in the world who could claim he benches more than him.
No matter how big of a bullshit artist/internet warrior someone is, they could never claim they have a bigger bench press than the monstrosity that is Julius Maddox.

Fast forward 2 months later and the bench-monster is back at again. After warming up with weights most guys dream of hitting in the gym he goes in for his first attempt-310kg/683lbs. He, of course, makes it look hilariously easy. The bar goes down, he touches his chest holds the weight down for a second and drives up with relative ease, of too attempt #2.
Attempt #2 is another day in the office for Julius, he goes down on the bench, finds his footing and off he goes with 337kg in his hands. The second attempt, with world record weight in his hands, goes incredibly well.
As you see in the video, I am not exaggerating. He really does make world record weights look easy. Julius later posted on his Instagram that he didn’t go for the third attempt with an even bigger weight because he left pec “felt tight“. So, what’s next for the master of the bench press? Well, he is currently on a road for a mind-numbing 800lbs bench press. Which you have to believe is entirely possible for him after witnessing how he handles world record numbers.
