Brian Johnson, who goes by Liver King online, is dealing with a worrisome injury after showing off an eye patch on Instagram. Taking to the platform on September 28, 2023, Johnson asked the public for prayers and blessings after doctors told him he was going to ‘lose’ his eye.
At the time of this writing, it’s unclear what caused the unidentified injury to Liver King’s right eye, though he did his best to inform followers of his latest situation without revealing too many details. This setback comes after a tidal wave of obstacles for the fitness influencer.
Although Johnson reached shocking levels of fame and popularity claiming to be natural, his manufactured story eventually came crashing down. Liver King’s leaked steroid cycle amounted to well over $10,000 a month and was revealed courtesy of YouTuber Derek of More Plates More Dates in January 2022. Johnson later confessed and shared that he would quit performance-enhancing drugs.
Liver King is also the owner of Ancestral Supplements, a lucrative business venture he’s backed for years. However, following his steroid scandal, Liver King is facing a number of multi-million dollar lawsuits for deceptive marketing practices. And now, it seems Liver King can add one more problem to his list.
“This Injury Has Been Humbling” – Liver King Opens Up on Mysterious Eye Injury
With doctors telling him he could lose his eye, Liver King admits he’s “never seen more clearly, felt more deeply, or been more fulfilled.” Johnson also called for prayers and blessings as he navigates the recovery process.
“All the doctors keep saying I’m going to lose the eye! Good! I have another eye! Everything in life is a gift. Since the injury, I’ve never seen more clearly, felt more deeply, or been more fulfilled. Having said that, I sure as hell don’t want to lose the eye.
This is why I’m sitting here on this hoping and praying because ancestral tenet eight is fight. And I could use all the help I can get right now. So I’m here, I’m officially asking and hoping you’ll send me a DM, send me prayers, send me blessings, send me the love, send me the light, and send me the hate.
All I know is this: Whatever the outcome, the good and bad, it’s all good. Life is what we make of it, it’s this grand adventure, so fill it with love, fill it with life, fill it with your tribe, and you’ll always know how to unite and fight to light it the fuck up,” Liver King shared.
Moving forward, Liver King will never take his senses for granted and accepts this setback is out of his control.
“A true King knows how to express gratitude… knows when to ask for help too. This injury has been humbling, to say the least, but I’m grateful as hell for its lessons.To never take my senses for granted… to remember that everything happens for a reason… and if it’s not the outcome you want, that’s because it’s the challenge you need.
This is another opportunity for Liver King to overcome mental and physical obstacles… to honor the fighting spirit of our ancestors… and to become the highest version of myself.Of course, I don’t want to lose my eye (who does?), and I will strive until my blood burns to ensure I don’t. Beyond my own savage efforts, this is out of my control now. For this reason, I wholeheartedly appreciate your prayers and support.” Liver King wrote in his caption.
From apologizing for his actions to quitting PEDs, Johnson hopes to earn the public’s trust back. In a show of transparency, Liver King announced in early September that he was re-starting testosterone and growth hormone, stressing that he wanted to live life on ‘his terms’ and no one else’s.
