Now that the 2023 Mr. Olympia has wrapped up, it’s time to start preparing for next year! Many big names in bodybuilding appeared at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro this past weekend, including Marcello De Angelis who made his Pro debut in Men’s Open. Shortly before beating Olympia contender Nathan De Asha and snagging a third-place finish, De Angelis offered fans a glimpse of his shredded physique on Instagram.

Being the sport that never rests, bodybuilders are already preparing again just one week following the 2023 Mr. Olympia, participating in shows to earn qualifications for next year’s edition. Marcello De Angelis hit the Romania Sports Fest Pro stage making his highly anticipated Men’s Open Pro debut.

The Brazilian superstar’s record is full of incredible achievements including being the former Mr. Universe champion as well as earning four Brasileiro gold medals. In 2021, De Angelis earned his Pro card in Classic Physique though he ran into issues due to his size.

Aside from his Pro ventures, Horse M.D. proved himself with a third-place showing at the 2019 Amateur Olympia South America, as well as when he finished first at the 2019 Worldwide Amateur Olympia Brazil event.

Right after posting this shot, De Angelis shined on stage next to some of bodybuilding’s biggest names. Defeating Olympia contender Nathan De Asha who placed fourth, Horse M.D. snagged a third-place finish just behind Behrooz Tabani and winner Samson Dauda.

De Angelis has shown immense promise already despite having just made his Open debut. Boasting classic lines and full muscle volume, he could certainly shake up the 2023 Mr. Olympia if he manages to secure a qualification this season.
