Now that the 2023 Mr. Olympia has wrapped up, it’s time to start preparing for next year! Many big names in bodybuilding appeared at the Romania Muscle Fest Pro this past weekend, including Marcello De Angelis who made his Pro debut in Men’s Open. Shortly before beating Olympia contender Nathan De Asha and snagging a third-place finish, De Angelis offered fans a glimpse of his shredded physique on Instagram.
Being the sport that never rests, bodybuilders are already preparing again just one week following the 2023 Mr. Olympia, participating in shows to earn qualifications for next year’s edition. Marcello De Angelis hit the Romania Sports Fest Pro stage making his highly anticipated Men’s Open Pro debut.
The Brazilian superstar’s record is full of incredible achievements including being the former Mr. Universe champion as well as earning four Brasileiro gold medals. In 2021, De Angelis earned his Pro card in Classic Physique though he ran into issues due to his size.
Aside from his Pro ventures, Horse M.D. proved himself with a third-place showing at the 2019 Amateur Olympia South America, as well as when he finished first at the 2019 Worldwide Amateur Olympia Brazil event.
Horse M.D. previously announced his move up from Classic Physique to Men’s Open after he found himself struggling to cut weight. This decision was made following the MuscleContest Brazil, where he missed weight, ultimately resulting in his disqualification.

Along with his division change, Horse M.D. revealed that Milos Sarcev would be his coach as he began prep for his Men’s Open debut. Moments before making his appearance on the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro stage, De Angelis shared a shot of his impeccable physique.
Marcello De Angelis’ stunning shape and impeccable conditioning caught the attention of several bodybuilding veterans including Flex Lewis who shared;

Bodybuilding Legend Phil Heath also commented on Marcello De Angelis’ performance expressing that he shouldn’t stop what it is he is doing because focusing on his shape is going to be what makes him successful.
Right after posting this shot, De Angelis shined on stage next to some of bodybuilding’s biggest names. Defeating Olympia contender Nathan De Asha who placed fourth, Horse M.D. snagged a third-place finish just behind Behrooz Tabani and winner Samson Dauda.
