Actor and producer Mark Wahlberg is well-known for having always had an impressive physique throughout his career. He still maintains an awesome shape but typically sports different looks from time to time depending on his roles.
But in an episode of ‘Vs The Internet’ where celebs answer questions on the Men’s Health YouTube channel, Wahlberg very briefly talked about the plant-based diet he went on to heal a leaky gut issue. He was eating a lot of meat to support his size but apparently his new diet is working very well for him.
Wahlberg responded to a comment that read “Bro, do you fast,” and this is what he had to say…
“I normally never fast. In this photo, I was eating eight meals a day, but eating eight meals a day, sometimes steak 2 times a day, I was just eating like chicken fish, steak pork. I found myself at the end of the movie, 6 months, having a leaky gut. So I did just do a fast, I did a bone broth fast and I’ve been eating just plant-based for three weeks now and I gotta tell I feel really good.”
The comment was posted under the photo below which he was referring to in his response…
“Six months of Performance Inspired Nutrition, Aquahydrate, and F45 training!! Clean eating. Inspired to be better, team training / life changing. 🙏❤️🙏“

The above photo showed Wahlberg’s visibly lean physique which is really nothing new. But in the caption, he noted that he has been supplementing with his own brand ‘performance Inspired Nutrition’ in addition to F45 training.
You can watch the entire episode of Vs The Internet below where he talks about fitness and his lifestyle too. But if you just want to hear the part about his plant-based diet then it’s at the 4:36 mark.
Here’s a clip from Wahlberg’s new movie Spenser Confidential which recently came out on Netflix March 6 via his Instagram…
