The 2024 Rogue Invitational Strongman & Strongwoman competition took place on November 8-9 in Aberdeen, Scotland. Being the fourth edition of the Strongman contest and first of the women’s, the Rogue Invitational was quite an exciting show. It spanned over two days and featured six events in total, making sure to test all aspects of strength. In the end, Mitchell Hooper and Inez Carrasquillo stood on top of the podium.
Mitchell Hooper’s Path to Victory
Mitchell Hooper came into the 2024 Rogue Invitational as the defending champion, having won the competition last year. So, a lot of pressure was placed on him, especially with the return of Hafthor Bjornsson. Luckily for him, he managed to conquer every challenge that he faced, thus managing to defend his title.
- Deadlift Ladder (Max Deadlift): Second-place
- Grip and Press: Second-place
- Inver Challenge: Second-place
- Power Drive: Third-place
- Yoke Escalator: First-place
- Circus Medley: Second-Place
Day One
Starting off day one, Mitchell Hooper had to settle for second place behind Hafthor Bjornsson in the Max Deadlift. Hooper locked out 975 pounds (442 kilograms), while the Icelandic Strongman pulled 1,010 pounds (458 kilograms). The tides quickly shifted on the second event, where Hooper once again placed second, but Hafthor finished in 9th due to the Log Lift overhead press.
Going into the Inver Challenge, Hooper knew that he would face a big challenge. With Hafthor setting an incredible time, Mitchell’s lead was definitely in danger. However, he managed to finish in second place, surprisingly beating Tom Stoltman on a stone-loading event. Consequently, Hooper was in the lead going into day two.
Day Two
Mitchell Hooper’s lead got cut down even more on the first event of day two, having finished in third place behind Stoltman and Bjornsson on the Power Drive event. Just when it looked like his victory wasn’t secure, Hooper came back and secured a win in the Yoke Escalator event, which consisted of a Yoke Carry and Power Stairs.
Mitchell Hooper was under no pressure by the time that the final event of the competition started. He had a 7-point lead, meaning that he could even afford placing in the lower half of the leaderboards. He still finished in second place, being the only man apart from Luke Stoltman to complete the event.

Inez Carrasquillo’s Victory Performance Overview
The 2024 Rogue Invitational was the inaugural edition for the Strongwoman division, meaning that all ten athletes were looking to make history. Well, Inez Carrasquillo was the one who managed to achieve that goal and did so in a fairly dominant fashion.
- Deadlift Ladder (Max Deadlift): Fourth-place
- Grip and Press: First-place
- Inver Challenge: First-place
- Power Drive: Third-place
- Yoke Escalator: Third-place
- Circus Medley: First-place
Day One
Inez Carrasquillo locked out a massive 605-pound (274.4-kilogram) deadlift to start off her performance at the 2024 Rogue Invitational, but that was only enough for a fourth-place finish in the opening event. Recognizing how strong the lineup is, Inez realized what she had to do. So, she absolutely crushed her rivals on the second event, showing off her overhead pressing power on the Log Lift.
With one event remaining on day one, Inez Carrasquillo was ready to take the lead going into day two. While all other athletes struggled with the Inver Challenge, especially the final stone, Inez made it look easy. She won the event by a huge 17-second margin over the second-place finisher.
Day Two
Just like Hooper, Inez Carrasquillo’s lead got cut down slightly on the first event of day two, as she placed third behind two other title contenders. She then moved on to the Yoke Escalator event, once again finishing in third place. However, this time, the athletes that were in front of her were not actually contending for the title at that point, meaning that Inez even managed to extend her lead of Liashchuk and Underdown.
With one event left, Inez Carrasquillo decided not to leave her fate in anyone else’s hands. So, she went out on the stage and crushed her rivals to take the event win. Moreover, it was truly an awesome end to her performance, which saw her win three out of six event in total.
Mitchell Hooper and Inez Carrasquillo have given it their all over the two days of competition but have earned a reward of over $120,000 each. They proved that they are the best in their sport, with no one being able to challenge them at this point in time. It is unclear what their goals for the future are, but there is no doubt that both Hooper and Carrasquillo will continue winning titles.
