At just 12 years old, Rory van Ulft has already reached a level of physical fitness and strength that is simply unbelievable. She etched her name in the history books on multiple occasions and continues to pursue improvements and new records. So, for her recent training session, Rory had the chance to train with one of the biggest fitness influences, Jesse James West. During their session, Rory locked out a 150-kilogram (330.7-pound) Unofficial Deadlift World Record and left her training partner speechless.

Rory van Ulft first went head-to-head against Jesse James West in the Clean & Jerk, as well as the zercher squat. Despite exerting a substantial amount of energy in thise events, Rory was still able to pull 150 kilograms (330.7 pounds) off the floor. She used a lifting belt and lifting straps to perform the deadlift while also utilizing the sumo technique.

Rory van Ulft struggled to get the bar off the floor at first but managed to persist and get the weight moving a few seconds later. The lift was far from easy for her, as the bar tilted noticeably to one side. However, following a tremendous effort from Rory, she managed to reach lockout.

For reference, the Raw Deadlift Sub-Junior IPF World Record in the 43-kilogram weight class is held by Polina Pavlova and stands at 136 kilograms (299.8 pounds). On the other hand, the Equipped Deadlift World Record in the same division comes out to 148 kilograms (326.3 pounds) and was set by Ashley Mitchell. So, Rory van Ulft’s recent deadlift unofficially exceeds both records.

Despite her young age, Rory van Ulft already has multiple years of experience under her belt. Moreover, she has a very diverse skillset, as she has showcased her prowess in strength sports but also gymnastics. So, one of the earliest goals that Rory set for herself is to make it to the Olympics at some point in her career.

Rory van Ulft’s biggest success so far came in the sport of weightlifting, as she has already won six National Youth Championships. She also became the youngest person to Clean & Jerk double her bodyweight at just nine years old. Her list of achievements is seemingly endless, but another one that should be pointed out is her 78-kilogram (172-pound) Clean & Jerk, which allowed her to unofficially exceed the U17-YO World Record.

The hard work that Rory van Ulft puts in during her training for weightlifting carries over incredibly well to powerlifting. So, Rory often shares some massive lifts, such as a 109-kilogram (240.3-pound) Raw Squat Unofficial Sub-Junior World Record. The deadlifts are clearly another one of Rory’s strengths, as seen by her 150-kilogram (330.7-pound) pull.

It would certainly be very interesting to see Rory van Ulft compete in powerlifting, but her trajectory in the sport of weightlifting is also looking very promising. So, Rory clearly has the potential to reach the highest level, regardless of what path she decides to take in the future. Being arguably the strongest kid in the world, Rory remains one of the most interesting athletes to follow, as she often shares truly remarkable feats of strength.
