Samantha Rice (90KG) Sets Raw Squat, Deadlift, & Total All-Time World Records at 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3
Samantha Rice set the Heaviest Raw Deadlift in Women’s Powerlifting across all weight classes and won the women's raw division at the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3.
Powerlifter Samantha Rice was the star of the 2024 WRPF Ghost Clash 3, having set new Squat, Deadlift, and Total All-Time Raw World Records in the U90KG weight class. The action took place on April 7th in Miami, Florida, where Samantha put up one of the greatest performances in history. She broke all three World Records by a staggering margin, most notably locking out the heaviest deadlift in women’s powerlifting history. In turn, Samantha won the women’s raw division of the competition
Following the regulations of the raw division, Samantha Rice only wore a lifting belt and a pair of knee sleeves for her squat session. However, she did not need anything else to crush a 272.5-kilogram (600.8-pound) Squat on her second attempt. The judges certified the lift, and Samantha formally broke the U90KG Squat All-Time World Record.
On her last try, Samantha Rice also attempted a squat of 280 kilograms (617.3 pounds), a weight that has only ever been accomplished by competitors in the heavier weight class. However, having already moved some heavy weights on the first two attempts, Samantha was unable to successfully perform the final attempt.

Bench Press was the only event in which Samantha Rice did not manage to set a World Record. However, it was still an impressive performance, which saw her set a new Competition PR of 160 kilograms (352.7 pounds). With this lift, she beat her former competition PR by 2.5 kilograms (5.5 pounds).

Deadlift
Having only one event left, Samantha Rice unleashed all of her energy to give one of her greatest performances ever. So, she went above and beyond, not settling for anything less than another All-Time World Record. To do so, she loaded 292.5 kilograms (644.9 pounds) on her second attempt. With this deadlift, Samantha broke the old record by a staggering 12.5 kilograms (27.6 pounds).
Moreover, as things stand, Samantha Rice’s new 292.5-kilogram (644.9-pound) Raw Deadlift is the Heaviest Ever Performed in Women’s Powerlifting across all weight classes.
Samantha Rice was still hungry for more and tried to become the first woman to deadlift over 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) on her final attempt. However, like on the squat and bench, Samantha was unable to successfully perform her final attempt.

Having failed the third attempt on all three events, Samantha Rice still felt like she fell short of her goal. She is just 10 kilograms (22 pounds) short of setting the heaviest raw Total in women’s powerlifting, across all weight classes, which is what her ultimate goal is. So, Samantha is now more motivated than ever to improve even more and solidify her status as the greatest of all time.
Samantha Rice also continued her impressive winning streak, since this was her 21st sanctioned powerlifting competition and 21st victory as well. So, Rice has never tasted defeat and does not plan on losing any competitions in the future either.
