Former WWE superstar Sara Lee is best known for her winning run in the World Wrestling Entertainment reality competition series Tough Enough, which earned her a one-year contract to compete within the pro wrestling promotion. Teri Lee, Sara’s mother, issued a statement via social media on October 6, 2022, regarding her daughter’s untimely death at the young age of 30.

The Michigan native made her first appearance under the WWE banner in the sixth season of the show. She was at risk of elimination five times throughout the show but became a fan favorite due to her relatable personality.

“I think my fans can kind of relate to me because I’m a normal girl,” she told the Midland Daily News newspaper in Midland, Michigan, after being voted by fans as the female “Tough Enough” winner. “I’ve just been myself.”
