While Sergio Oliva Jr. has yet to confirm any imminent bodybuilding plans, many were hoping to see him back on stage soon. He is the son of bodybuilding legend and former three-time Mr. Olympia Sergio Oliva, who once battled with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Given Oliva Jr.’s top-tier genetics, the bodybuilding community has regarded him as a massive threat thanks to his imposing size and fullness.

With Dorian Yates stepping in to train Sergio Oliva Jr., talks of his comeback have circulated for months. From hardcore training sessions to posing practices, Olivia Jr. could easily make a statement in his next show. However, in the meantime, it appears he will have to modify his workout efforts to preserve his ankle.
In a recent Instagram story, Sergio Oliva Jr. revealed that he had suffered an ankle fracture that is giving him trouble. For the time being, it seems that he is resting and recovering to the best of his abilities.

“For those who don’t know I fractured my ankle four weeks ago so working the expo’s have been rough but we got the make-shift ice wraps with her leggings going,” shares Oliva Jr.
Fans are thrilled to see Sergio Oliva Jr. back on stage, however, he has faced unfortunate obstacles as of late. Most notably, Oliva Jr. was involved in a traffic collision that saw a man die. As a result, Oliva Jr. was forced to spend time in a Dubai jail. He likened the ordeal to a ‘Locked Up Abroad’ episode and underlined that it was one of the worst experiences of his life.
Before injuring himself, Sergio Oliva Jr. was killing it in the gym with Dorian Yates, knocking out a chest and arms workout. Oliva Jr. last entered the 2023 MuscleContest California Pro where he came in third place. It is expected that Sergio Oliva Jr. will make his way back to the stage as soon as he recovers.
While fans may have to bide their time a little longer as they wait to see Oliva Jr. compete, one thing is for sure: while under the guidance of bodybuilding legend Dorian Yates, it will undoubtedly be an epic comeback well worth the wait.
