Shane Nutt may be just nineteen years old, but he is incredibly powerful. He demonstrated this again, by hitting a massive deadlift recently.
Looking at Nutt, some may just see him as a college student from a town in Nebraska, named Freemont. However, in addition to being a student at Midland University, he is also an incredibly talented powerlifter. In fact, he blew people away from the start, when he first hit the powerlifting platform. Even at an early age, he has been hitting huge lifts.
This ability has gone to win Nutt some big titles. At the 2018 Raw Nationals, he managed to win the 83kg weight class. Furthermore, he did so by completing a 705.35kg total lift, blowing away his competitors. It truly established himself as one of the top young athletes in the powerlifting scene.
As a result, it comes as no surprise that Shane Nutt is still getting better. He recently uploaded a video to his Instagram, showing how much he has improved. In the footage, you can see him completely destroy a massive 317.5kg (700lb) deadlift.

“700lbs mixed grip PR. Proud of myself. Let’s go.
Here Shane hits impressive 585×1
This was quite an impressive showing from Nutt. To put this in perspective, this lift was 10kg heavier than his competition best, which he set earlier this year. On top of that, despite the fact that his legs wobble slightly, he seems to still have some more in the tank. He attributes this to a powerful pre-workout, but it still makes one wonder how much farther he could push himself.
Shane Nutt continues to be one of the most impressive powerlifters in the world today. At just 19 years old, it is exciting to see his development, and how much better he can get.
