Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson doesn’t skimp when it comes to the most important meal of the day. Taking to Instagram, the Hollywood movie star shared how he prepares his filling pre-workout cheat meal breakfast.

When it comes to burning the midnight oil, few actors push the pace like Johnson. At 52 years young, The Rocks’ devotion to training and nutrition fuels his day-to-day obligations. His physique was carved out of countless pro wrestling matches though remains devoted to his physical fitness as a thriving actor who boasts worldwide fame.

Aside from his wrestling prowess, The Rock has voice-acted in Disney movies and shined in films as an action hero. He signed up to play MMA legend Mark Kerr in a new movie and left fans in disbelief after teasing a scene from the film where he looks unrecognizable. To maintain his burly physique, he prioritizes his nutrition, especially when breakfast is on the table.

Given his ripped physique and longevity, The Rock has made it a point to alter his training to maximize results inside of his famous home gym ‘Iron Paradise.’ Instead of lifting heavier, Johnson says he’s found immense success using lighter loads with higher volume. This method has worked wonders for the actor, who admits to struggling with a litany of injuries including knee surgeries, an Achilles tear, a quad tear, an adductor tear, two disc ruptures, and a torn abdomen wall.

From ‘optimal’ pre-workout breakfasts to cheat meal breakfasts, The Rock starts his days full of energy despite his busy schedule. Regardless of the body part he’s working out, the WWE superstar understands that food is fuel and makes nutrition one of his top concerns. The next time you’re in the mood for a massive breakfast, try out Johnson’s go-to steak and eggs special, with a side of waffles and English muffins.
