Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has been the face of CrossFit for nearly a decade, being one of the most dominant athletes that the sport has ever seen. So, many were surprised to see Tia-Clair absent from some major competitions toward the end of the 2025 season. However, her recent post on Instagram makes everything clear, as Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr announced that she is pregnant.
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr won the 2025 CrossFit Games back in August, where she built a very comfortable lead and beat her rivals with ease. So, she was also expected to see her compete at the 2025 Rogue Invitational, especially considering that she won the competition last year. It was then that the community started speculating about the reasons why Tia-Clair chose not to appear.
We didn’t have to wait long for an explanation, as Tia-Clair Toomey Orr recently shared a video of her firstborn wearing a t-shirt inscribed with the words “big sister” on it. With this, Tia-Clair revealed that she is pregnant with her second child. She also added a caption saying:
“Willow, show me how excited you are to become a big sister!”

As far as other information about Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr’s pregnancy goes, not much has been revealed. So, it is unclear how far along she is or when her due date might be. However, it is also very likely that Tia-Clair Toomey will miss the 2026 CrossFit season, or at least a large portion of it. Therefore, we might see a brand-new champion take the 2026 CrossFit Games title.

Laura Horvath would be the biggest favorite to win the competition in the absence of Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr, especially following her victory at the 2025 Rogue Invitational. However, Horvath did not take part in this year’s CrossFit Games, making it uncertain if she plans to compete or miss out next year as well.
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr is arguably the most successful individual in CrossFit history. She won an unprecedented eight Fittest Woman On Earth titles, along with four victories at the Rogue Invitational. In doing so, Tia-Clair demonstrated remarkable feats of fitness, often leaving all rivals far behind.
Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr also found success in other sports, having made it to the 2016 Olympics in weightlifting. She was also close to qualifying for the 2022 Winter Olympics in the sport of bobsleigh. Moreover, Tia-Clair recorded an impressive streak of results in the sport of Hyrox, setting a World Record in the women’s doubles division alongside Joanna Wietrzyk. Tia-Clair was poised to compete at the 2025 Hyrox World Championships, but she got sick in the days leading up to the competition, which forced her to withdraw.

Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has already gone through one pregnancy and came back to CrossFit even better than before. So, there is no doubt that Tia-Clair will be able to get back to the highest level of readiness if she does decide to return to CrossFit.
