American actor Tom Cruise doesn’t mess around when it comes to breakfast. In a recent interview on May 1, 2025, the Hollywood star reflected on the almost-dozen egg meal that kicks off his morning, which keeps him satiated and full of energy for the risky action scenes in the Mission: Impossible film franchise.

Cruise has remained one of the most popular and influential acting stars in American cinema. Despite leading one of the most jam-packed schedules in entertainment, he maintains an incredible level of fitness. But we all know achieving and sustaining a fit body like Cruise’s takes more than just training, he’s also prioritized proper and clean nutrition for years.

Hanging on to airplanes at high speeds is risky business, but Cruise makes it a point to stay fueled for even the most harrowing film adventures. Below, he walked through the breakfast fit for a champion, which he said is made up of over a dozen eggs, sausage, toast, and coffee.

Actor Tom Cruise Reveals the Massive Breakfast That Powers Him for Mission: Impossible Stunts

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE Magazine, Cruise explained that his protein-packed breakfast helps keep him ready for any stunt that might come up. He explained that his body burns tons of calories when he’s at a higher altitude.

“I actually eat a massive breakfast,’ Cruise told People magazine. ‘The amount of energy it takes – I train so hard for that wing-walking.

I’ll eat, like, sausage and almost a dozen eggs and bacon and toast and coffee and fluids. Oh, I’m eating! Picture: it’s cold up there. We’re at high altitude. My body is burning a lot.”

In addition to his intense workout regimen that he’s followed for years, Cruise revealed that he specifically trained for hypoxia and carbon dioxide buildup, which could become disastrous during high-risk scenes.

“Luckily, when you’re flying jets you train for hypoxia and for carbon dioxide buildup. You start to be able to perceive your body and how it’s reacting so that I knew when to stop,’ he said. ‘On Mission, if it was easy, I guess we wouldn’t want to do it.”

Cruise isn’t the only mega-popular action movie star raising eyebrows thanks to his big breakfasts. Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently shared his monstrous cheat meal breakfast. The hulking star also had a dozen eggs but paired them with turkey bacon and homemade sweet Hawaiian biscuits.

At 62 years old, it doesn’t look like Tom Cruise is slowing down. Between his crazy stunts on-screen and new film projects, he continues to keep fans on the edges of their seats. His newest movie, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, is set to premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.
