Urs Kalecinski is not competing at the upcoming 2025 Arnold Classic, which takes place February 27 to March 2. On December 26, 2024, Kalecinski revealed why he opted out of the Arnold Classic in favor of making improvements for Olympia, emphasizing that the title picture is currently ‘wide open’ after Chris Bumstead’s retirement.
‘The Miracle Bear’ is a thriving Classic Physique competitor in the IFBB Pro League, known for his striking symmetry, posing skills, and impressive lower body. In his last Olympia outing, Kalecinski shocked the world. During prejudging, he gave Bumstead a run for his money before contender Mike Sommerfeld emerged as a title threat. In the end, Kalecinski carved out an impressive third-place finish, the same spot he held in 2023 at the prestigious event.
Kalecinski has made consistent appearances at the annual Arnold Classic but has decided to forgo the opportunity this year. This means he will have a substantial off-season and the time needed to add quality muscle tissue through proper supplementation, dieting, and training. With fans missing out on his performance, Kalecinski filled them in on why he decided to bide his time in favor of making improvements for the next Olympia, which will not feature Chris Bumstead, thus, leaving room for a new titleholder to emerge.

“Because I think the Olympia next year is wide open and I want to focus 100 percent on winning this title. So, no Arnold’s for me this year, but definitely better package at the Olympia stage. So, be ready for the bear” Kalecinski revealed.
Unlike Urs Kalecinski, both Sommerfeld and Vissers will be competing at the 2025 Arnold Classic. Last year, fans saw Wesley Vissers display remarkable muscle mass and conditioning, which ultimately won him both the Ohio and UK shows. As the reigning champion, there is a lot on the line for Vissers as he works towards redemption.
While fans aren’t able to watch Urs Kalecinski take on the Arnold Classic, they can look forward to seeing what he brings to the prestigious 2025 Classic Physique Olympia. With the title up for grabs, Kalecinski has warned his fellow competitors to ‘Be ready for the Bear!’
