Victoria Long Retirement

Victoria Long has spent multiple years building her legacy in the sport of Strongwoman and is arguably one of the greatest athletes that the sport has ever seen. However, after winning multiple prestigious titles, she has now decided to retire from doing the sport professionally. The news of Victoria’s retirement came directly from her Instagram post, where she shared her full thoughts on the matter.

Victoria Long announced her retirement just days after the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic, which did not go the way she hoped. During the first event of the competition, the Max Elephant Bar Deadlift, Victoria dropped to the floor and grabbed her hamstring. She then needed assistance to get back up and off the competition stage, indicating that her injury was in fact a bit more severe.

So, Victoria Long’s final professional appearance of her career was not the way that she planned to end her career.

“I definitely pictured the last contest of my strongwoman career going much differently…..but here we are. 🤷🏻‍♀️

To say that I’m proud of the women that I shared the stage with this past weekend is a severe understatement. These women embody what it means to be WARRIORS. We’ve shared many of the same struggles, we’ve sacrificed, and we’ve been continually subject to some of the harshest comments and opinions. In spite of it all…..we STILL SHOW UP! We realize that the inspiration and encouragement we give to others far outweighs the “dark days” we experience.

I’ve had some amazing experiences and made some life long friends along the way. I’ve been a part of something that only a small percentage of people will experience.

Victoria Long has played a humongous role in promoting Strongwoman in these past years, especially since it is now in the best place that it has ever been. The sport has never been more popular, mostly because of the mind-blowing strength that the women display. However, even among all of the incredible athletes, Victoria often managed to come out victorious.

Victoria Long spent five years competing in Strongwoman, during which she took part in five International and two National competitions. Her success rate was quite high, as she won five competitions in total, missing out on gold medals only in the first and last competitions of her career.

Victoria Long’s Appearances Overview

Victoria Long has replied to some comments under her post, revealing that she completely tore her hamstring at the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic. Moreover, she also stated that she believes it’s the right time to shift the focus to her family and career after racking up so much success in Strongwoman. So, although Victoria did not spend too much time in Strongwoman, her impact and legacy will forever be remembered.
