2024 African Youth Weightlifting Championships
The 2024 African Youth Weightlifting Championships began on 18 November 2024, with 17 lifters in 13 classes. This competition was decided within the 2024 African Junior Championships. The lifts counted for both, with places ranked within each field. Gold went to Acehood Waiyaki Odhiambo (49 kg, 101 kg), Ian Okinyi Adongo (55 kg, 175 kg), Jesse Abrahams (61 kg, 175 kg), Antonin Brousse De Gersigny (67 kg, 213 kg), Abdelraman Ahmed (73 kg, 314 kg) and Mohamed Tahar Ayadi (89 kg, 240 kg) for the men, and Yassmine Radhwani (49 kg, 126 kg), Emna Ben Sayeh (55 kg, 161 kg), Hadhil Gahlouzi (59 kg, 147 kg), Mercy Kerubo (64 kg, 160 kg), Ghofrane Ghrissa (71 kg, 160 kg) and Naoui Zeineb (+81 kg, 194 kg) for the women.
