But, this year is a whole new ball game and many eager athletes will be battling for Strongman supremacy. And this is also the first year since 2014 (Los Angeles) that the WSM competition will be taking place in the United States.

Final round events

Now, last year’s event took place in Manila, Philippines, where Bjornsson of Iceland took 1st, followed by Mateusz Kieliszkowski from Poland placing second, and the four-time WSM winner Brian Shaw of the United States taking third.
This year will be an exciting event and we can’t wait to see who will raise the trophy but Hafthor Bjornsson is looking very promising after a stellar 2018 winning the Arnold Classic and this year isn’t looking much different seeing as he broke the Elephant bar deadlift world record with a 474 kg/1,045 lb lift at the 2019 ASC.
But, we’re just a month away and everyone will be watching to see how the whole event unfolds.
