Zahir Khudayarov is back to doing powerlifting and is arguably in better shape than he ever was, as seen by his recent 475-kilogram (1,047.2-pound) Two-Rep Squat With Wraps from training. It is easily one of the heaviest squat doubles ever performed by anyone, which is not a strange feat for such an icon of the sport as Zahir.

Zahir Khudayarov usually competes in the Raw W/Wraps division. So, he performs his squats with a pair of knee sleeves, a lifting belt, and wrist wraps. This is exactly what he used for the 475-kilogram (1,047.2-pound) two-rep squat as well.

Unracking the 475-kilogram (1,047.2-pound) barbell and taking a few steps back seemed to be a more difficult task for Zahir Khudayarov than the squat portion itself. Despite having a shaky walkout, Zahir crushed both of his squat reps with ease, making sure to execute them up to competition standard.

It is important to keep in mind that the All-Time World Record Squat W/Wraps is 480 kilograms (1,058.2 pounds) in the U125KG and is held by Zahir Khudayarov. He is seemingly preparing to compete in the U125KG weight class once again, as per his reply to an Instagram comment. So, seeing that he is easily performing two reps with just 5 kilograms (11 pounds) less, Zahir is definitely capable of breaking the record.

Zahir Khudayarov last competed back in 2019, but he is now motivated to come back to the sport and set a historic milestone. Although it is not clear where he plans to compete, Zahir has revealed that he wants to Squat 500-kg (1,102.3-lb), Bench Press 300-kg (661.4-lb), and Deadlift 400-kg (881.8-lb).

If successful, Zahir Khudayarov’s Total would come out to 1,200 kilograms (2,645.5 pounds), which has never been done in the Raw W/Wraps division, regardless of the weight class. Luckily, his plan is going extremely well, as he has gotten close to his squat and bench goals, and already exceeded his deadlift in training.

Although Zahir Khudayarov has not competed for a long time, his resume is still one of the most impressive in the history of the sport. He has 24 sanctioned powerlifting appearances under his belt and 17 gold medals from those competitions. However, Zahir earned the most respect through his spectacular World Records, some of which have remained untouched for the past decade.
