Zahir Khudayarov is a living legend of powerlifting, who has achieved incredible success over the course of his career. However, as of not too long ago, Zahir revealed some mind-blowing goals for the future, which shocked everyone. Well, judging by his recent training session, Zahir is not far from fulfilling his goal, as he crushed a 490-kilogram (1,080.3-pound) squat with wraps in training.
As unbelievable as it sounds, Zahir Khudayarov’s final warm-up during his workout was a 455-kilogram (1,003-pound) squat with wraps. That looked absolutely effortless for him, which is why he decided to jump up 35 kilograms (77.2 pounds) for his heaviest single yet.
Zahir Khudayarov wore a pair of knee wraps, a lifting belt, and wrist wraps for his attempt at a 490-kilogram (1,080.3-pound) squat. As expected, his walk-out with the barbell looked shaky, but the squat itself looked very smooth. Moreover, he had plenty of energy left after the lift to celebrate and return the bar back to the squat rack.
For reference, Zahir Khudayarov’s greatest squat with wraps in a sanctioned competition came out to 480 kilograms (1,058.2 pounds). So, he is already well beyond what his previous peak was.

Zahir Khudayarov’s plans to conquer the 500-kilogram (1,102.3-pound) squat with wraps, as well as the All-Time Raw With Wraps total, have already captivated the community. However, as he gets closer to the half-ton squat milestone, Zahir has revealed another, even more impressive goal. Namely, his ultimate desire is to break the All-Time Heaviest Squat With Wraps, which currently stands at 525 kilograms (1,157.4 pounds) and is held by Vladislav Alhazov.
The significance of Zahir Khudayarov’s squat prowess lies in the fact that he is competing in the 125-kilogram weight class. So, seeing that only three men have reached the 500-kilogram (1,102.3-pound) milestone, Zahir would be by far the lightest man to ever do it. All three other men who have done this already have weighed over 160 kilograms (352.7 pounds).
Although the exact competition that Zahir Khudayarov plans to take part in is unknown, he has revealed in recent Instagram posts that the time for that is very close. That is also evident in Zahir’s training lifts, as they are already in the realm of unbelievable feats of strength.
Zahir Khudayarov initially competed in powerlifting from 2007 up until 2019, during which he made 24 appearances in sanctioned competitions. He has won 17 of those, but he has also established himself as one of the strongest pound-for-pound powerlifters in the world. However, Zahir has yet to take part in any competitions since 2019.

Considering that Zahir Khudayarov has been actively preparing for approximately half a year, it is hard to believe just how much progress he has made already. So, if he continues improving at this rate, Zahir could fulfill all of his goals sooner than anyone thought.
