There has been a new date decided for the 2021 Arnold Classic South America. Now it will be taking place in the fall, concluding on Halloween day.

There has been a lot of shakeup in the general bodybuilding schedule since the global pandemic hit. While some shows got canceled last year, some major ones were simply delayed, such as the Olympia which went down in December.

This has left Arnold Classic officials with no choice but to postpone and move their events. The decision is in part due to continued restrictions, but likely also to help realign the points schedule for the Olympia season.

While there has been no word yet on when the Arnold Classic Ohio will take place, we have gotten an official date for another show. According to an Instagram post from the Arnold Sports Festival, the 2021 Arnold Classic South America is being postponed until October 29th-31st.

“New dates announced for @arnoldsouthamerica October 29-31, 2021.” the post said, before adding the following in Portuguese (translated via Google).

“We know how much everyone wants to experience intensely the largest multi-sport event in South America, with product tasting, contact with sport idols and sports competitions, among various attractions.

We change the date so that your experience is as complete as possible, with peace of mind and without risks.

We promise to come back and do the best Arnold South America for you.”

The post also added some important information about the tickets for the event. They explain that tickets that were already purchased for the previous date are still valid, corresponding with the appropriate day of competition.

This is obviously a big decision that impacts a lot of people, but seems to be the right call. It appears that they are working to still bring fans the type of experience they are used to, from the Arnold Classic South America.

The contest is still expected to take place at the Expo Centre Norte, in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Any questions about the event or tickets are to be directed to the email addresses within the Instagram post.

As far as the rest of the Arnold Classic events, there are no further updates on when other contests may take place. The one that fans are most curious about, is of course the Ohio, which is slated to take place in the fall.
