It has been an intense three weeks with the CrossFit Open. With the truncated Open this year being cut to three weeks due to the pandemic and a new CrossFit protocol, this year’s athletes faced a lot more pressure than in previous years. CrossFit Open workouts 21.1 (Week One), 21.2 (Week Two), and the combined 21.3 plus 21.4 (Week Three), have come to a close, and we have the unofficial leaderboard results.

The top 10 percent of athletes from six continents, including North America, Europe, South America, Oceania, Africa, and Asia, will continue into the next phase of the competition. That is the Quarterfinals. After that, the Semifinals will occur, and the results form that will determine who gets the elite invitation to the 20201 NOBULL CrossFit Games to be held July 27 to August 1.

Where Do the Elite CrossFit Athletes Stand?

You will see some familiar names on the leaderboard. For the men, 2020 CrossFit Finals fifth-place finisher Canada’s Jeffrey Adler sits at the top of the board. The current title-holder for female Fittest Woman on Earth Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has only racked up 26 points in the CrossFit Open this year. Athletes are looking for the lowest scores possible at this stage of the competition.

Other key finishers include most of the crowd favorites, including Scott and Saxon Panchik, Noah Ohlsen, Rich Froning Jr., Brent Fikowski, and Patrick Vellner for the men. For the women, Amanda Barnhart, Haley Adams, Kristi Eramo O’Connell, Katrin Davidsdottir, and Kari Pearce are all in the top 25.

The qualification process this year is a 3-phase process that will bring together 38 men, 38 women, and 38 teams to vie for the elite invitation after the Semifinal events. An additional two men and women each will get invitations after the Last-Chance Qualifier, which will also take place after the Semifinals.

2021 CrossFit Open Results

These are the unofficial results for the leaders of the men, women, and teams, after the last workout of the CrossFit Open. CrossFit will update with official results once they are finalized.

For the CrossFit Open, points in each event equal the rank of the athlete. For example, first place in one event will score one point, whereas 900th place will score 900 points. Athletes are looking for the lowest scores on the board.

2021 CrossFit Open Highlights

There is always a few that rise to the top that catch our eyes before the Quarterfinals stage. You can probably guess who they are this year. With Mat Fraser out of the running, Jeffrey Adler from Canada is determined to hit the podium this year. And four-time Fittest Woman on Earth Tia-Clair Toomey-Orr has shown us all that she intends to keep dominating.

She currently holds a 40-point gap between herself and Emma Cary, and has scored the lowest of all athletes, including the men’s division. By placing first in 21.3, both Tia and Jeffrey rose to the top. To date, Tia still doesn’t have an overall Open win, last year she placed fourth in the Open and still took home the title.

At the top for the men’s is Canada’s Jeffrey Adler, who did well for himself in last year’s CrossFit Finals. Adler won over Fraser in the last event of last year’s Finals, landing him a fifth-place finish.
