The 2022 Yamamoto France Pro was a 2022 Mr. Olympia qualifier, which took place from September 30 to October 1, in Lille, France over the weekend. A total of four bodybuilding divisions were featured from Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Men’s Physique, and Bikini.
Time is running out for bodybuilders to earn an invitation to 2022 Mr. Olympia. The qualification deadline is rapidly approaching for the biggest event of the year. Athletes will have until November 20, to secure a coveted invitation. This year’s Mr. O will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada from December 15 – 18.
There are already a number of athletes qualified to compete this winter. Any Men’s Open competitor who placed in the top five at 2021 Olympia last year are automatically invited for this year’s show. Additionally, any bodybuilder outside of the Men’s Open division who placed in the top three have also received an automatic qualification.

Fans were highly anticipating the Men’s Open battle between fifth place 2022 Arnold UK finisher Marc Hector and runner-up Patrick Johnson. They both made meaningful improvements to their physique and pushed each other on stage. In the end, Patrick Johnson earned first place and punched his ticket to 2022 Mr. Olympia.

The Classic Physique division delivered an entertaining contest this weekend. During prejudging, Valeri Enchev emerged as a name to watch given his sharp conditioning. And while momentum swung in his direction at first, Wesley Vissers pulled off the victory and earned his invitation to Olympia — bodybuilding’s most talked about event of the year.
