The Men’s Physique finals at the 2023 Arnold Classic went down on Saturday, March 4. After a series of callouts, Erin Banks defended his title successfully and is now a two-time AC winner.
The 2023 Arnold Sports Festival took place from March 2-5 in Columbus, Ohio. Ahead of the competition fans expected one of Erin Banks’ best packages since he’s fresh off of his first Men’s Physique Olympia win last December. By the end of 2022, Banks became the only Men’s Physique athlete in the history of the sport to win both the Arnold Classic and Olympia titles in the same calendar year.
After a tough few call outs, it was a three-man battle between contenders Emanual Hunter, Diogo Montenegro, and Erin Banks. Ultimately, Erin Banks pulled off the victory with excellent muscle separation. Meanwhile, Diogo Montenegro finished runner-up with Emanual Hunter rounding out the top three. Fans were also impressed with the packages of fourth-place finisher Vitor Chaves and Carlos DeOliveira.
