Event Overview
It is not rare that we see a few of the same events in multiple Strongman competitions. However, the Rogue Invitational often brings new events and contraptions into the sport. So, some of the events they listed are a bit familiar, but others like “The Duel” will be a total surprise for everyone, as there is very little information about it.

We also have two events that have been featured last year and will now be a part of the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman as well. Those are the Tower of Power Deadlift for Reps and Rogue-a-Coaster.
Day One
The Tower of Power is a huge construction which places the competitors in a position where they have to perform an 18-inch deadlift for reps. However, the barbell is tied to the weights with a rope underneath the athletes’ platform, completely altering the dynamics and making the deadlift much tougher.
The second event will be a sled pull, which will seemingly be similar to a bus/truck pull. As per Mitchell Hooper, it will weigh “between 880 and 1,150”, which is presumably in pounds. Moreover, it will be a 50-foot sled pull.
The final event of day one at the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman will be the Ultimate Log Medley. Being a medley, the Log will be combined with another exercise, and that will be the Fingal’s Fingers. The weights and the number of implements have not been revealed.
Day Two
The Rogue-a-Coaster also proved to be an interesting event last year, which is why it is coming back once again for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman. The athletes will grab a robe attached to a loaded cart on uphill train tracks. They will then pull until the cart reaches the top.
The Apollon’s Wheels are inspired by a historic figure, Apollon the Mighty. Based on one of his mythical achievements, the competitors will have to perform an Axle Overhead Press for as many repetitions as possible. The weight of the Axle will be 180 kilograms (396 pounds).
The Duel is set to be a loading race which all ten athletes will perform at the same time. However, following each round, some of the slowest athletes will be eliminated. In the end, the final round will have just two athletes going against each other. The format of the loading race and the weights used are unknown for now.
