The time is nearing when the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman competition will take place, as it is officially scheduled for October 27-28, at the Dell Diamond Stadium in Round Rock, TX. So, with the majority of factors surrounding the competition revealed before, the only ones that were not were the events. Well, the events for one of the biggest Strongman competitions this year have now also been revealed on Rogue Invitational’s Instagram account.
Like last year, the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman will consist of two days and a total of six events. Thus, each day will feature three events that are set to push the 10 world-class competitors to their absolute limits. Moreover, not only will the athletes be motivated by the opportunity to claim a prestigious title, but they will also look to claim the $130,000+ that will be awarded to the winner.
2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman Events
Day One (October 27th)
- Tower of Power Deadlift for Reps
- The Iron Bull Sled Pull
- Ultimate Log Medley
Day Two (October 28th)
- Apollon’s Wheels
- The Duel
It is not rare that we see a few of the same events in multiple Strongman competitions. However, the Rogue Invitational often brings new events and contraptions into the sport. So, some of the events they listed are a bit familiar, but others like “The Duel” will be a total surprise for everyone, as there is very little information about it.
We also have two events that have been featured last year and will now be a part of the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman as well. Those are the Tower of Power Deadlift for Reps and Rogue-a-Coaster.
The Tower of Power is a huge construction which places the competitors in a position where they have to perform an 18-inch deadlift for reps. However, the barbell is tied to the weights with a rope underneath the athletes’ platform, completely altering the dynamics and making the deadlift much tougher.
The second event will be a sled pull, which will seemingly be similar to a bus/truck pull. As per Mitchell Hooper, it will weigh “between 880 and 1,150”, which is presumably in pounds. Moreover, it will be a 50-foot sled pull.
The final event of day one at the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman will be the Ultimate Log Medley. Being a medley, the Log will be combined with another exercise, and that will be the Fingal’s Fingers. The weights and the number of implements have not been revealed.
The Rogue-a-Coaster also proved to be an interesting event last year, which is why it is coming back once again for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman. The athletes will grab a robe attached to a loaded cart on uphill train tracks. They will then pull until the cart reaches the top.
The Apollon’s Wheels are inspired by a historic figure, Apollon the Mighty. Based on one of his mythical achievements, the competitors will have to perform an Axle Overhead Press for as many repetitions as possible. The weight of the Axle will be 180 kilograms (396 pounds).
The Duel is set to be a loading race which all ten athletes will perform at the same time. However, following each round, some of the slowest athletes will be eliminated. In the end, the final round will have just two athletes going against each other. The format of the loading race and the weights used are unknown for now.

Pavlo Nakonechny was initially in the lineup for the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman, but he suffered severe injuries during a recent car accident. So, it is highly unlikely that he would be capable of competing at the competition. Moreover, Tom Evans was announced as a new competitor, most likely as a replacement for Pavlo. With the events and lineup determined, the 2023 Rogue Invitational Strongman is set to be a true spectacle.
