Strongman Lineup Overview
The defending champion, Mitchell Hooper, is coming back to the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic. Hooper had an incredible past season, having become the first Canadian to win the World’s Strongest Man contest and came out victorious in the 2023 Rogue Invitational.
Fans will also be pleased to see the return of two huge Strongman names, Hafthor Bjornsson and Martins Licis. The Icelandic competitior, Hafthor, has been retired for three years now, but he could not stand on the sidelines any longer. So, with experience of winning three consecutive Arnold Strongman Classic shows, he will be coming to add another one to his resume. On the other hand, Martins took a break from Individual Strongman competitions in 2023, meaning he will come into the Arnold Strongman Classic fresh and hungry.
Another two athletes that will be aiming to win the title at the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic are Oleksii Novikov and Tom Stoltman. These two competitors have won some of the best shows in the world. However, neither of them has ever taken gold at the Arnold Strongman Classic. So, it is the one achievement that they are missing, and 2024 might be their year to succeed.
All five of the aforementioned competitors have won the World’s Strongest Man competitions at some point. So, it is clear that the 2024 Arnold Strongman Classic will feature one of the strongest lineups in history.

Strongwoman Lineup Overview
Victoria Long has won the past two Arnold Strongwoman Classic competitions, and she will be returning for her third consecutive title in 2024. Long, unfortunately, injured her hamstring a few months ago. It was not clear how severe it is, but Victoria will evidently be fully recovered and prepared by the time the competition takes place.
Rebecca Roberts received a late call-up to last year’s Arnold Strongwoman Classic, but still managed to finish in second place. So, after winning the 2023 UK’s Strongest Woman and 2023 Britain’s Strongest Woman, Rebecca has been invited to the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic as well.
Among a few athletes that will be making their return to the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic, we will also see a debut for one incredible athlete. The woman in question is none other than the current Deadlift World Record Holder, Lucy Underdown. She has had tremendous achievements in the past few years and has now been righteously invited to compete in one of the biggest competitions of the season.
While all athletes who are invited to the 2024 Arnold Strongwoman Classic are incredible, Andrea Thompson is one that could make a charge for the title. The 2018 World’s Strongest Woman has many strengths, especially in the overhead press events. So, seeing how she got bronze in 2023, Andrea could improve her placing in 2024
