The 2024 Bigman Weekend Spain Pro, held in Alicante, Spain, was an Olympia qualifier for athletes competing in Men’s Open Bodybuilding and Bikini, which took place from November 29 – December 1.
In 2023, Roman Fritz stood tall among the rest as the Open winner of this competition. He’s not in attendance so a new champion emerged over the weekend. In addition, a Bikini contender left Spain with gold, cash, and ultimate bragging rights.

Men’s Open Bodybuilding
Contenders battled in this final Open contest of the 2024 bodybuilding season. Talks around Akim Williams were front and center, thanks to the noticeable improvements he’s made to his legs, back, and arms as of late. Williams narrowly missed out on gold at the recent Romania Muscle Fest Pro, sliding into second place behind winner Rafael Brandao. This time around, he was determined to take home gold and an early qualification for the 2025 Mr. Olympia.
In his way was Marcello De Angelis, well known as Horse MD. Judges had a tough time on their hands because Angelis boasts different strengths compared to Williams. Instead of overwhelming mass, he makes up for it with aesthetics and dry conditioning. Horse MD was also eager to make a statement after finishing fourth in Romania. In the end, Akim Williams picked up a huge victory. Marcello De Angelis and Emir Omeragic finished in second and third place, respectively.

Bikini
In the Bikini category, contenders were offered opportunities to cement their entry for the ‘Super Bowl of Bodybuilding’ next year. Among the frontrunners was Chantal Hill, whose stage presence, hourglass figure, and symmetry carried her throughout prejudging and the finals. In her last outing, at the recent 2024 Nutriyummy Pro Cup, she impressed fans en route to taking silver.
Fans were also taken aback by Sara Punzetti — a top tier Bikini talent who continues to deliver from show to show. With seamless tie-ins and the ideal amount of muscle fullness, her look thoroughly demanded the judges’ attention. She last tested her resolve at the 2024 EVLS Prague Pro, where she carved out a spot in second place. After a heated battle, Chantal Hill left Spain with gold. Sara Punzetti and Jess Feeney took the second and third-place honors.
