The 2024 Chicago Pro, held from July 19-20, is now in the books. The event saw nine competitors take home gold medals.
Justin Shier was last year’s champion, but this year Mohamed Foda emerged as the new champion. Hassan Mostafa, who qualified for the Olympia in 2023 after his win in Vancouver, finished in eighth place this year. Tim Budesheim, who was a strong contender coming into the show after finishing second at the 2024 Vancouver Pro, secured third place at the 2024 Chicago Pro. Vladyslav Sukhoruchko claimed second place.
This show served as an Olympia qualifier, and by the end of the event, nine participants had clinched their tickets to the prestigious Olympia show, set to take place later this year from October 10-13.

Men’s Open Bodybuilding

With plenty of big names in this show, some fans were unpredictably blown away by a few participants, most notably, Mohammed Foda and Vlad Sukhoruchko. Sukhoruchko has long been a factor within the busy Men’s Open category, having recently given foes a run for their money at the 2023 Mr. Big Evolution Pro in sixth place.
Mohamed Foda was in rare form tonight and it didn’t exactly take a trained eye to see it. His saran wrap condition and vascularity gave way to an extremely shredded physique. Foda competed last at the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro where he delivered a respectable fifth-place showing but this look was different. After plenty of back and forth, made more stressful by comparisons, Mohamed Foda won the Men’s Bodybuilding title. Vlad Sukhoruchko finished second and Tim Budesheim took third place.

Men’s 212 Bodybuilding talent always delivers exciting shows because the conditioning, detail, and overall completeness required to remain a top-tier competitor is a grueling challenge that takes true consistency. Among the frontrunners tonight were Marcello Alfonsi and Dectric Lewis.
Alfonsi entered this event having claimed ninth place at the 2024 Vancouver Pro. He brought a strong look in hopes of bagging an invite to Mr. Olympia but Dectric Lewis also had the crowd and judges on their feet with energetic posing. He competed at the 2022 Mr. Olympia in his last showing, placing 16th. After a memorable end to the showdown, Marcello Alfonsi earned the crown. Dectric Lewis took second place and Mike Condell finished in third.

Classic Physique talent engaged in a highly entertaining firefight between a few top contenders, though the conditioning and detail of athletes Carlos Dommar and Kellen Wilson stood out the most. Judges took a good look at each of their physiques. Dommar’s last took 11th at the 2023 Olympia show.
Wilson was brimming with confidence and hype, courtesy of his huge victory at the 2024 Vancouver Pro show. Ultimately, it was close, but Carlos Dommar got the job done and earned gold. Kellen Wilson and Austin Espy took second and third place.

In the Men’s Physique showdown, Abisai Pietersz stood out among the pack with exceptional definition, especially his serratus, which appeared more defined than many of his adversaries. He continues to showcase drastic improvements to his build physique at each show. Pietersz came into Chicago with massive momentum thanks to his resounding victory at last weekend’s 2024 Republic of Texas Pro.
Opposite of Pietersz was standout IFBB Pro Ahmed Shokry. His side density and back poses gave him a clear edge throughout the heated prejudging rounds. He has shown immense promise in the packed division, making progress during each passing season. Following the final comparisons, the judges got a good look at all competitors and awarded Abisai Pietersz the victory. Ahmed Shokry secured second place and Deke Roderique-Walker finished third.

Hunter Henderson is a standout powerlifter whose transition into bodybuilding has been fun to watch. She was a favorite to take home Women’s Bodybuilding gold over the weekend. Her thick muscle density along with her shredded midsection left the crowd on their feet multiple times through the prejudging rounds and finals. She last competed at the Tampa Pro in 2021 where she finished in second place.

Women’s Bodybuilding standout Shery Priami is another big name in the division and her ability to showcase her physique is next-level because she sports symmetry, top-notch proportions, and conditioning, pillars of the ideal Women’s Bodybuilding physique. She last competed at the 2024 Mr. Big Evolution Pro in second place. In the end, Sherry Priami won another gold medal. Hunter Henderson and Mayla Ash finished in second and third.

Cherish Richardson showcased meaningful improvements to her build, having laid claim to the Figure title at the 2023 Lenda Murray Atlanta Pro. Her ability to blend masterful posing sequences with razor-sharp conditioning gave her an edge through prejudging and the finals.
Maryra Rocha also presented a stellar look, which carried her through the competition with poise and definition. Rocha has found her footing in the Figure category. In her last showing, she took home fifth place at the 2023 Hurricane Pro. By the time judges tallied the scorecards, it was Cherish Richardson who walked away victorious. Marya Rocha and Thais Cabrices-Werner finished second and third.

Bikini had a thrilling number of competitors stand out on stage but attention quickly shifted to Reijuana Harley and Hope Castelli. Harley’s tone and stage presence gave competitors a tough time on Saturday night. She last tested herself at the 2024 Orlando Pro and was riding his courtesy of a resounding victory.
Castelli wasn’t going to make it an easy affair for anyone given her determination and might atop the stage. It was clear she brought one of her best looks given the shape and definition on display head-to-toe. She competed at the 2024 World Classic Pro in ninth place. Ultimately, Reijuana Harley picked up another win. Hope Castelli and Jessica Wilson finished second and third.

Competitors from the Women’s Physique division gave it their all on Friday night. Ana Harias was among the top contenders eager to take home the gold medal. She last tested herself at the 2024 Lenda Murray Atlanta Pro, defeating a stacked field of competitors on her way to earning the big win.
Fans and onlookers refused to count out Amanda Machado, whose physique, complete with shoulder striations, gave way to a dominant performance on stage. She narrowly took runner-up to Ana Harias last weekend at the Lenda Murray 2024 Atlanta Pro. Similar to their last showing, Ana Harias secured first place in a stunning display of muscularity. Amanda Machado and Lenka Ferencukova finished second and third.

The battlegrounds in Wellness made for an unforgettable night of bodybuilding action. Given the popularity of the category, all eyes were on the top contenders Friday night. Sunny Andrews pushed into title contention, courtesy of her dense lower body. She took third place in a very close competition at the 2023 Republic of Texas Pro.
Germier Morgane was another top name eager to do damage in the growing category. Morgane has become a worthy contender, courtesy of her symmetry and balanced proportions, which were on complete display in her last outing at the 2024 Flex Weekend Pro in Italy, where she earned 15th place. In the end, Sunny Andrews took home gold! Germier Morgane and Yami Partridge finished second and third.
