The 2024 Flex Weekend Pro in Milan, Italy was easily the biggest bodybuilding event of the weekend. Athletes from the Men’s Open, Men’s Physique, Bikini, and Wellness divisions met on June 23 to determine who would walk away with extra cash and Olympia qualifications.
Headlined by the Men’s Open category, the annual Flex Weekend Pro has become a crucial event for athletes hailing from Europe. Open bodybuilders have very few chances to ensure their spot on the biggest stage of the year, serving as added pressure for those who were in attendance over the weekend.
Last year, Nathan De Asha walked away with gold at the 2023 Flex Weekend Pro. Having trained alongside Rubiel ‘Neckzilla’ Mosquera in preparation for his title defense, Meanwhile, Behrooz Tabani continues to shine in the division thanks to his impressive conditioning levels.

Men’s Open
As many fans assumed heading into this event, all eyes were on champion Nathan De Asha and Behrooz Tabani. It was clear from the onset of prejudging that De Asha’s leg separation and back detail were his biggest strengths. De Asha is a UK bodybuilding star with a wealth of experience testing himself against the best. He last competed at the 2023 Romania Muscle Fest Pro where he took third place.
Tabani looked fuller and his patented conditioning stood out from the moment he took to the stage. Tabani just competed at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro, where he gave Olympia contender William Bonac a run for his money in second place. This time out, Tabani pulled off the big win with a tight midsection and dry conditioning. Nathan De Asha claimed silver and Emir Omeragic took third place.

Men’s Physique (Top 15)
In the highly competitive Men’s Physique contest, judges put the participants through call-out after call-out to see who stood out among the pack. As the event carried on, it was evident that Matheus Nery Olivira brought what was perhaps his best package to date. His combination of fullness and conditioning proved to be a potent weapon on stage. Olivira displayed confidence throughout the comparisons thanks to the momentum he earned with a second-place finish at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro.
Andrea Santoro was another name to watch courtesy of his lines, muscle separation, and chest definition. While Santoro was featured at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro, he tied for 16th. However, this time around, he showcased massive improvements. In the end, Matheus Nery Olivira won gold. Santoro took second and Juan Manuel Gochez finished third.

Bikini (Top 15)
Bikini talent turned out big time in Italy. Top contenders at this show included Rukiye Solak from Turkey, and Stine Hansen, who continues to make productive tweaks to her physique from show to show. Given her shape and posing skills, she always makes it tough on her competition, this night being no different.
Meanwhile, Rukiye Solak showcased impressive stage presence and balanced proportions. She has become a force at each contest she throws her name into, having recently taken silver at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro. After an intense showdown, Stine Hansen claimed the victory. Rukiye Solak finished second. Kristina Brunauer walked away in third.

Despite the division being newer than some of the others, the popularity of Wellness continues to explode. Juliana Mota put her name on the map quickly this weekend, showing off impressive fullness and lower body density. Her look at this show had the judges wanting more, as they took a close examination of her physique during prejudging. Mota last competed at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK where she took second in a close battle.
A mainstay of the category, Danai Theodoropoulou has quickly become a fan-favorite in Wellness. She understands how to make the most of her time on stage. Theodoropoulou finished in second place at the 2024 Empro Classic Pro. Ultimately, the night in Italy belonged to Danai Theodoropoulou who took gold. Juliana Mota and Yuridia Morales finished second and third.
