Joe Weider’s Fitness and Performance Olympia Weekend serves as the greatest bodybuilding event of the year. The divisions featured at this event include Men’s Open, Classic Physique, Men’s 212 Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Men’s Wheelchair, Bikini, Wellness, Women’s Physique, Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, and Fitness.
Derek Lunsford established himself as the 2023 Mr. Olympia last year, solidifying his status as the sport’s first two-division champion. With gold up for grabs once again, fans expect an unforgettable display of bodybuilding mastery.

2024 Mr. Olympia Qualification Rules
As per the IFBB Pro League, the qualification rules for 2024 Mr. Olympia can be found below:
The 2024 OQS (Olympia Qualification System) qualifies athletes for the 2024 Olympia. The qualification period starts on October 9, 2023, and ends on September 15, 2024.
The following competitors qualify for the 2024 Olympia:
For all Divisions except Wheelchair Bodybuilding
- Top 3 from the 2023 Mr Olympia;
- Top 3 from all other 2023 Olympia divisions; and
- Winner of each OPEN contest held during the qualification period.
For Wheelchair Bodybuilding
- Top 3 from the 2023 Wheelchair Olympia
- Winner of each OPEN contest held during the qualification period
- Top 5 in the point standings
Points are allocated as follows:
- 2nd – 10 points
- 3rd – 9 points
- 4th – 8 points
- 5th – 7 points
*Note: Any former Olympia winner has lifetime eligibility. However, this eligibility is not automatic. Where more than five (5) years have elapsed since the last Olympia win, approval of the IFBB Professional League is required.
The top three finishers of the Mr. Olympia in the Men’s Open are automatically invited back the next year. Considering this rule used to apply to the top five finishers, it’s never been more challenging for athletes to grace the prestigious stage.
