The 2024 Men’s Physique Olympia is one of the most unpredictable contests of the blockbuster weekend; this is a preview of the top contenders and dark horses expected to fight for gold. This Men’s Physique contest will be held on Saturday, October 12. Prejudging takes place in the morning at the Las Vegas Convention Center with finals starting later on that night inside the Resorts World venue.
In 2023, Ryan Terry emerged with the Men’s Physique Olympia title after unseating former titleholder Erin Banks in a nail-biter of a finale. Terry’s peeled conditioning paved the way for a historic victory as he defeated a crop of talented threats such as Banks, Brandon Hendrickson, and Jeremy Buendia.

Ryan Terry
Having captured the biggest win of his career in 2023, Terry will aim to keep the Men’s Physique Olympia title in Europe. After nine attempts and over 21 years of training, he proved to be the best athlete on stage last year. Working out seven days a week inside his $5 million gym, Terry plans to bring an even drier and more detailed physique next weekend.
Terry’s last contest was the Men’s Physique Olympia in 2023, which he won. He’s opted to use his off-season and contest prep to improve his tricep definition while emphasizing his back, arms, and chest with upper-body weighted circuit workouts.
Terry’s hands-on-hip superman pose was easily the strongest of any competitor in the lineup, and it showed the judges that he truly had no weaknesses. He plans to replicate the success he had in 2023 by showcasing slight improvements because his last package was by far the best of his career.

Erin Banks
Erin Banks is a man on a mission after his 2023 bodybuilding season. While he was the reigning Men’s Physique Olympia in 2022, he surrendered the title to Ryan Terry last year, when he took third place. Banks understands that his conditioning prevented him from finding success. He last took gold at the 2024 Dubai Pro.
His height and back width are a problem for most contenders, especially when competitors are called on to stand in a back relaxed pose. With enough conditioning, Banks could become a two-time champion when Bob Cicherillo reads the scorecard.
Emanuel Hunter
Emanuel Hunter will enter this contest with momentum thanks to an impressive fourth-place performance at the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia. He knows what it’s like facing down the barrel of top contenders like Hendrickson, Terry, and Banks, which could be important because he’ll have a better idea of how to out-perform them in direct comparisons.
Hunter was last seen in action at the 2024 Arnold Classic and while he presented a physique complemented by improvements, it wasn’t enough to earn gold, as he took sixth place. He could spell trouble for the roster given his well-rounded physique. His back detail along with superior ab definition makes him a competitor to watch out for.
Corey Morris
Corey Morris is another talent on the hunt for gold. His capped shoulders and V-taper have turned him into a major problem in the category. He slid into sixth at the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia, proving he has what it takes to stand against the best. Morris embodies the criteria of this division and he proved that at the 2024 Arnold Classic UK with a career-best look.
Familiar with facing off against the usual suspects atop the Men’s Physique ladder, fans are curious if this is the year Morris wins the ultimate title. Based on the package he brought to the UK, counting him out could be a mistake.

Vitor Chaves
Vitor Chaves is our lone dark horse heading into this year’s Men’s Physique Olympia. His rapid improvements, tight midsection, and brilliant stage presence could give him the edge against many of the top contenders. In 2023, he finished ninth on the Men’s Physique Olympia stage.
His standing relaxed pose is among his most powerful. Chaves last tested his mettle at the 2024 Miami Muscle Beach Pro, and it didn’t take long for judges to know he was going to walk home with the trophy. This time around, he hopes to win the world over with polished poses and a back that can stand against the greatest of his division.
