2024 Mr. Olympia Heads to Las Vegas Convention Center from October 10-13

The 2024 Mr. Olympia event will once again return to Las Vegas, Nevada just like in 2022. Instead of the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino venue, Solomon revealed athletes will stay in the luxurious Resort’s World Hotel, which has easy and quick access to the Las Vegas Convention Center complete with a spacious theatre. He added that athletes will enjoy first-class resorts during their stay.

There have been notable changes to the Mr. Olympia qualification rules, making it more challenging for athletes to qualify. Last year, the point system was removed and has yet to be re-instated. Therefore, athletes who wish to qualify for 2024 Olympia must win a Pro show.

Tyler Manion also revealed that only the top three finishers at the Men’s Open Mr. Olympia will receive automatic qualifications. With these new rule modifications, the league hopes to see more bodybuilders compete at shows yearly.

In 2022, there was considerable online debate about the production and poor conditions backstage at the 2022 Mr. Olympia. Even Samson Dauda, one of the Open’s biggest faces, admitted to a cramped and dimly lit backstage area while he pumped up for hours waiting to go on stage. Given that the Olympia is reserving the Las Vegas Convention Center in 2024, the hope is that bodybuilders will have far more space to prepare for their on-stage performances.
