The 2025 French Throwdown CrossFit Semifinal took place on May 9-11 in Montpellier. It was the second and final in-person Semifinal based in Europe, gathering a number of the world’s fittest athletes. The action spanned across three days, but in the end, Moritz Fiebig and Elisa Fuliano emerged victorious.
2025 French Throwdown CrossFit Semifinal
Men
Moritz Fiebig was the winner of the men’s division at the 2025 French Throwdown, but he did not take either of the two qualifying spots. The reason for this is because Moritz had already qualified for the 2025 CrossFit Games through the 2025 Wodland Fest CrossFit Semifinal. So, the qualification carried over to the two best finishers after him.
Bronislaw Olenkowicz also appeared at the Wodland Fest two weeks prior but did not make it into the qualifying positions. However, his second-place finish at the French Throwdown secured him the ticket for the CrossFit Games. Bronislaw had two event wins and was actually on route to take the overall win. However, he dropped the lead in the final two events of the competition and had to settle for second.
Calum Clements was the third-place finisher, but he also secured qualification for the Games. Basically the opposite of Bronislaw, Calum had a less than desirable start to the competition but managed to make up for it in the second half of the show.

Women
The women’s divisions featured a similar, but not identical, scenario. The winner of the 2025 French Throwdown, Elisa Fuliano, was also unable to qualify for the CrossFit Games. However, in her case, the reason for this was the fact that she did not compete in the 2025 CrossFit Open, making her ineligible to qualify at all. So, she took part in the French Throwdown to put on a show and ended up winning it convincingly.
Claudia Gluck was the next best performer, tallying up 592 points to finish in second place. She made her debut at the CrossFit Games last year with a 12th place finish but is now set to return to the elite competition once again and pursue an even better result.
Lucy McGonigle is one of the biggest young talents in the sport, having won two age division CrossFit Games in 2022 and 2023. However, having placed third at the 2025 French Throwdown, Lucy has now punched her ticket for her first open CrossFit Games.
