Just after the ‘successful’ 6 hours long major surgery a month ago, Ronnie Coleman revealed last week on Thursday that he needs another surgery to fix the ‘rod that got loose from the screw right after the surgery’.
The 53-year-old bodybuilding legend has been battling through a series of major surgeries over the past few years. For a man who’s spent much of his life as a 300-pound mass monster pumping iron every day, being confined to hospitals has been really hard for him.
While training in the Gym yesterday a few hours before the surgery, Coleman revealed the details of what went wrong:
“My last workout before my surgery tomorrow or shall I say my corrective surgery.” Coleman wrote, before relaying the gruesome story “The surgery I had 4 weeks ago was defective in that one of the 6 screws they put in broke immediately after surgery.”
“After I went back to my room after I left surgery recovery room. The nurse wanted to check my bandages and as soon as I rolled over I heard a loud pop that shook my spine tremendously.” Coleman wrote.
“I’m praying the screw their putting in tomorrow does not break.”

Ronnie Coleman heads in for Corrective Surgery today, posted a photo of himself as always in high spirits:
“Headed to surgery now, can’t wait to get this over with so I can get back into the gym. My 2nd surgery in 4 weeks.”
