It is no secret that Maxime Boudreault is one of the strongest men in the world, and he wanted to convey that message to the world this year. It is unfortunate to report that his plans to compete in the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic and the World’s Strongest Man competitions have been hampered by a fracture in his small shin bone, which occurred as a result of slipping on ice. Consequently, Maxime has been forced to withdraw from both events, much to the disappointment of his fans and fellow competitors.

Maxime Boudreault hoped to improve on his sixth place finish from last year at the 2023 Arnold Strongman Classic. He had been training hard for months, working to perfect his technique and strength for the various events that he would compete in. However, despite not being able to compete, Maxime will be at the competition to watch the show and meet the fans.

The information of Maxime Boudreault’s injury came straight from him, as he shared the news on Instagram. The severity of his injury and how long it will take him to recover have yet to be determined by his surgeon. In any case, he will not be able to participate in the aforementioned competitions.

“All jokes aside, fell on the ice yesterday and broke the small shin bone. Waiting to see the surgeon but staying optimistic”

According to the remainder of his Instagram caption, Maxime Boudreault had some big plans for this year. He also mentioned getting on the podium at the 2023 World’s Strongest Man. That would be the second time that he placed in the top three, having claimed bronze in 2021 as well. Maxime then competed at the 2022 WSM, where he earned a respectable fifth-place finish.

“I could already hear the @arnoldsports crowd from the top of the timber carry ramp and taste that @theworldsstrongestman podium, but life had other plans this year.”

Boudreault has always been fiercely competitive at any competition he has entered, which explains why he would have made an amazing addition to the lineups of 2023 World’s Strongest Man and Arnold Strongman Classic. During his 10-year-long career, Maxime Boudreault took part in 23 International and six National competitions. He came out victorious on two occasions, one being the 2022 Canada’s Strongest Man, and the other the 2021 Magnús Ver Magnússon Strongman Classic.
