Mark Wahlberg has easily become one of the biggest names in fitness courtesy of his athletic frame and washboard abs. In a recent TikTok, Wahlberg explains why he enjoys training late at night and how he motivates on a daily basis.
Wahlberg made a name for himself in Hollywood as the leader of the Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch back in the ’90s and then transitioned into being a model for Calvin Klein which is where his desire to maintain a chiseled physique really got its spark.
Following his modeling career, Wahlberg hit the big screen in movies such as The Departed and The Transformers. Eventually, he shifted to roles like Father Stu where he was tasked with achieving a total body transformation; this forced him to include a diet of over 11,000 calories a day to gain weight in a rapid manner. Following this massive increase in weight, Mark Wahlberg then shared his journey of getting back in shape.
During his weight loss journey, Wahlberg revealed his unconventional ways of training which included working out in the middle of the night, often hitting the gym at 4 a.m. Following the grueling 14-week weight loss campaign, Wahlberg showed off the fruits of his labor with a physique update, displaying spectacular ab definition.

Mark Wahlberg Explains Why His Middle Of The Night Workouts Work For Him
As a testament to his strict regimen, Wahlberg reveals in a post on TikTok why his methods are so successful for him.
“Well I am known for getting up at 4am but whether your 4am is actually 4am or it’s 8am or it’s 4pm you know like sometimes I work nights I’m on a night schedule. I just get my 8 hours of sleep. I get up and make sure I do all the things that I need to do for myself to be the best version of myself before I’ve gotta wake the kids up.
I’m not an evening person, I used to be but for me there’s nothing but trouble after at those hours so I like to get up and get it done. I recommend people just start your fitness journey today,” Wahlberg shared.

Like many others, “The Rock” admits his training sessions have become a form of therapy for helping him process decisions and take on the next day.
