Jeremy Buendia Talks Bulking In The 2024 Off-Season And Not Doing Arnold Classic
Jeremy Buendia outlines what his plans for the 2024 season look like.
“It’s been a minimal struggle the past week getting back in the rhythm of things and seeing how my body looks. My game plan is get back into starting my off-season, my bulk at the end of February or beginning of March and I plan on getting on stage probably around August and maybe early September” Buendia said.
“I want to win a show before I get back on the Olympia stage. There’s a lot of ground to catch up, but like I said, there’s not that much ground to catch up.”
Buendia opens up about why he has never competed at the Arnold Classic revealing that he’d rather focus on his health and bringing his best to the Olympia stage.
“A lot of these guys haven’t really taken a break a lot of them are still doing the Arnold. They haven’t really taken much of a break after Olympia because they can’t.”
“After Olympia, it doesn’t really allow you any time to rest and recover before you got to start prepping again. Even if you do the Arnold and don’t do the Olympia, it’s like the middle of your off-season.”
“That’s the reason why I’ve never done it, it’s a difficult time of the year when you’re trying to bring your best to Olympia and when you’re trying to prioritize your health as well.”
Jeremy Buendia has stayed busy in the off-season. Killing it in the gym and focusing on his nutrition. He intends to bring his A-game in 2024 where he will aim to upset the newly crowned champ Ryan Terry.
Having just shared his training intensifier tips, Buendia is serious about boosting his conditioning for the Mr. Olympia stage this October.
