The final day of the 2024 CrossFit Games wrapped up the entire competition in Fort Worth, Texas. The final day brought two more events for both Individuals and Teams, after which the leaderboards were finalized. Ultimately, Tia-Clair Toomey and James Sprague were crowned as Fittest Woman and Man on Earth.
Coming into the final day, no one knew what events would take place, not even the competitors. So, having no time to prepare, everyone had to rely fully on their fitness levels, which is what the 2024 CrossFit Games were all about.
Tia-Clair Toomey had a strong lead after three days of competition, but James Sprague was trailing Brent Fikowski by over 40 points. Toomey managed to hold on to her lead, while Sprague pulled off the impossible comeback and beat Fikowski to become the Fittest Man on Earth.

Individual Events Recap
Dickies Triplet
Having to perform five rounds of the three-segment workout, pacing and strategy were guaranteed to play a major role in getting a decent result. Moreover, the transitions between the workouts were also something where a lot of time could be gained or lost depending on the athlete. Although the workout did not contain any complex exercises, performing them for multiple rounds quickly got fatiguing.
5 rounds for time:
- 175-meter run
- 12 toes-to-bars
- 8 alternating dumbbell snatches (70/100 lb)
Men’s Results
Having finished at the bottom of the leaderboard in a similar event last year, Jayson Hopper made sure to address his weaknesses and improve. So, when the Dickies Triplet came up at the 2024 CrossFit Games, Jayson surprised everyone, winning the event ahead of some very credible athletes with a time of 7:04.19.
Hopper’s win did not come easy, as he had to defend his position against the rapid James Sprague. The two men went at it for the entirety of the event, but Sprague ultimately had to settle for second with a time just 3 seconds slower than Hopper’s. The overall leader, Brent Fikowski, did not drop too many points on the event, having finished in third place.

Gabriela Migala was trying to keep up with Tia-Clair Toomey throughout the entire event. So, despite not managing to grab first, the pace she had while chasing Tia-Clair was more than good enough to secure her a second-place finish. - 18 thrusters (95/135 lb)
- 18 bar muscle-ups
- 80-foot yoke carry (345/525 lb)

CrossFit Invictus Unconquerable finished in second with a time of 6:48.40, while 8th Day CrossFit took third with a time eight seconds slower. However, the biggest surprise was the underperformance of one of the top three overall teams, CrossFit Mayhem, who did not even make it into the top 10.

Beasts of Burden
The final Teams event of the 2024 CrossFit Games brought in a familiar implement — the Snail. CrossFit Mayhem came away with an event win but weren’t able to get back up into the top three overall. However, Raw Iron CrossFit finished in second-place, which meant that they became the Fittest Team On Earth. So, they made history by winning the CrossFit Games, as there has never been an Australian team on the podium, let alone winning the competition.
Notably, one of the key members of the winning team, Raw Iron CrossFit, Kara Saunders, announced her retirement from the sport following the final event. She had an incredible 12-year-long career and capped it off by leading her team to the win at the 2024 CrossFit Games.
