Tom Stoltman is always considered a favorite in any competition he chooses to take part in, which included the recent 2025 Strongest Man On Earth. However, he ended up in eighth place overall, which came as a surprise to a large portion of the community. Well, Tom’s new YouTube video revealed more detail about his experience, highlighting a bicep injury that prevented him from performing at the highest level.

Tom Stoltman was excited to appear at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth, hoping to battle for the title. However, in the lead-up to the competition, Tom felt a bicep strain during one training session. He went out to get the scans done, which did not show any signs of tearing or other injuries.

So, Tom Stoltman tried to forget about the injury, but it increased in intensity as he started shifting massive weights at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth. Even while performing the Log Lift, Tom had trouble cleaning the implement up to his shoulders. It only got worse from there, which is why Tom’s coach contemplated advising him to withdraw from the competition.

“It was just trying to get through this bicep. I just tried to ignore it the whole competition. But you know there’s no lie to it. You can’t really cheat that (the injury). The bruising after the first event yesterday to now is obviously gone massive because it’s been under so much pressure.

I got an ultrasound and a shockwave before I came over here and they said it was clear. So that’s why me and Shane were like, ‘Oh, it’s not torn. Let’s just go straight into it.’ And you know, that’s why I came out here. No, no double-thinking it and stuff,” said Tom Stoltman.

Tom Stoltman has not had the season that he hoped for, having taken part in three competitions so far, but failed to win any. It started off with a 7th-place finish at the 2025 Arnold Strongman Classic. Tom then put up a great performance at the 2025 World’s Strongest Man, where he finished in second place, being only 0.5 points behind the winner. Now, Tom added an 8th-place finish at the 2025 Strongest Man On Earth to his resume.

Tom Stoltman has more plans for this year, which include competitions such as the 2025 Giants Live Strongman Open & World Deadlift Championships, as well as the 2025 Rogue Invitational. So, hope remains that his bicep injury is not severe and that he will be able to properly train and perform in the upcoming weeks.
