The fitness community is mourning yet another loss. On Dec. 27, 2025, IFBB Pro bodybuilder LaMarcus Morris passed away at just 29 years old. As of this writing, his cause of death has not been revealed.
After a successful NPC tenure, Morris quickly found his footing in the IFBB Pro League. His physique was perfect for the Classic Physique division. He boasted balanced proportions, and his quads were a noticeable strength, helping him stand out onstage against top talent.
Additionally, he used his Instagram to offer unique workout advice, physique updates, and nutrition tips to his growing fanbase. Morris was born in Talihina, OK, and was beloved by locals and fans of bodybuilding.

They revealed that he will be laid to rest at the Bache Red Oak Cemetery in Oklahoma.
“A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel, 528 S. 3rd Street McAlester, Oklahoma.
A tribute of Marcus’s life will take place at Hartshorne Elementary Activity Center, 862 N. Cherokee, Hartshorne, Oklahoma on December 31, 2025 at 12:00 pm, officiated by Lacey Arreola. Marcus will be laid to rest at Bache Red Oak Cemetery in Bache, Oklahoma,” the statement read.

In his last few contests during Spring, Morris impressed en route to ninth place at the 2025 Optimum Classic Pro. Weeks later, he battled at the Oklahoma Pro, but missed the mark and ultimately tied for 16th place. He was passionate about competing, having remained active since 2020.
Morris joins a crop of young athletes who have died too soon. Recently, Italian fitness influencer Alessandro Antonicelli passed away at the tender age of 26. He let go after a brutal 2-year battle with an aggressive form of bone cancer. IFBB Pro Wang Kun also recently lost his life. A spokesperson for the Anhui Provincial Bodybuilding Association said his death likely stemmed from a heart problem.
