A clean bill of health remains acting legend Dolph Lundgren’s top priority. On Feb. 24, 2026, via Instagram, he showed off his intense upper body workout at 68 after beating cancer.
Dolph Lundgren is best known for his villainous role in the Rocky franchise as Ivan Drago. He played a towering Russian boxer who killed Rocky Balboa’s close friend Apollo Creed inside the ring. Since then, he’s become an international icon, appearing in countless films.
In addition to Rocky IV, Lundgren took on memorable roles in Masters of the Universe, Red Scorpion, and The Expendables series. Despite getting older, his focus on training has only ramped up. Lundgren has pumped iron alongside bodybuilding legends, like former seven-time Mr. Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Sadly, the acting star was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2015. It’s been a harrowing battle with highs and lows. However, in 2024, he announced that he was finally cancer-free, revealing that performance-enhancing drugs could have contributed to the initial diagnosis. Aiming to stay on top of his health, movement has become medicine for Lundgren.
