Columbus, Ohio, welcomed the 2026 Arnold Classic Physique finals on March 6 at the Battelle Grand inside the Greater Columbus Convention Center. The show began at 7 PM EST and saw Wesley Vissers emerge victorious in Classic Physique, earning his second title at this prestigious contest.
The lineup was dealt a last-minute blow when reigning champ Mike Sommerfeld was unable to meet the weight cap for Classic Physique. The show went on without him, and a few contenders fought for center stage. Wesley Vissers (2024 AC champ) showcased dramatic improvement in his leg width, detail, and fullness. This gave his physique more balance, lending itself to the division’s standard.
Matheus Menegate presented a stellar look; conditioning and V-taper were on point, giving his side poses more pop. Having placed seventh at the 2025 Olympia, Menegate has quickly established himself as a top-tier Classic Physique threat.
2026 Arnold Classic Physique Results
In the finals, it was a battle between Wesley Vissers and Matheus Menegate. Classic Physique athletes put on memorable individual posing routines. After coming up short at the 2025 Detroit Pro last season, Vissers was on a mission.
Vissers’ Golden Era look set the tone early, but Menegate held his own, thanks to his upper body density and conditioning from the front. After a final posedown, Wesley Vissers secured his second title at the Arnold Classic. Matheus Menegate took second place, and Andrea Mammoli finished in third place.
