Antoine Vaillant has been working to diet down, ahead of the 2020 Arnold Classic South America. 16 weeks out from the contest, he provides an update on his physique, and he looks great.

Vaillant is a Canadian pro bodybuilder and fitness model. In addition to that, he has his own YouTube channel, where he documents his training. Furthermore, he has done fairly well in his career so far, winning multiple national championships, and placing 4th in the 2018 Toronto Pro.

Unfortunately, Vaillant was forced on the sidelines for a good part of 2019, due to a bicep injury. Subsequently, he packed on some weight, since he was not competing. As a result, he was in a position where he had to do some serious dieting to prepare for his return, at the 2020 Arnold Classic South Africa.

Two weeks into this diet, Antoine Vaillant provided an update to his Instagram. Although, as he admits, there is still a lot of work to go, he looks great. On the other hand, as he puts it, he is still pretty “fat for a bodybuilder.”

“2 weeks of diet done,” Vaillant said in the post. “306.4 lbs this morning empty stomach, 16 weeks out @arnoldsouthamerica , started diet at 326 lbs morning weight. Another 4-5 weeks of dieting and I should be pass that “flat but still fat” stage. And by fat I mean in pro bodybuilding standart of course lol! The only thing im annoyed with right now is bloating in lower abdomen, might still be inflammation from all the off season food 2 weeks ago, might be visceral fat, but Im working hard so it should go away with the depletion and waist reduction training I exponentially start doing in prep. OBSESSION? PASSION? Or BOTH? 🧐🤔”

Antoine Vaillant looks shredded as it is. Therefore, it will be interesting to monitor his progress, and see him trim down. Judging by how things look so far, he will be a force to be reckoned with by the time the Arnold Classic South Africa comes around.
