So far, there have been several world record attempts as part of the World’s Ultimate Strongman “Feats of Strength Series”. Hafthor Bjornsson started things off by breaking the all-time deadlift record with 501kg/1105lbs. Then we saw the Stoltman brothers each attempt their own records although only one brother was successful.

Then Oleksii Novikov established a new world record for others to follow by with a 100kg/220lb Giant Dumbbell World Record for 11 Reps In Under 75 Seconds.

But the most recent world record attempt was in the Women’s Atlas Stone Hoist and Strongwoman legend Rhianon Lovelace was up to the challenge. She’s a Pro lightweight Strongmwoman competitor who was the U64 World’s Strongest Woman in 2018 and boasts a 600lb/272.5kg deadlift at 63kg/139lbs (lightweight and middleweight record).

For those who don’t know, there are three weight categories in Strongwoman which are…

  • Lightweight — under 64kg
  • Middleweight — 64kg to 82kg
  • Heavyweight/Open — over 82kg

So for this world record attempt, she had to beat 139kg/306lbs. Well, she did just that! Lovelace lifted the 19″ 141kg/310lbs Atlas Stone over 44″/110cm easily, and just that fast she achieved the world record.

Watch at the 39:55 mark for the world record lift…

Lovelace attempted 151kg at 53:45 but she failed the attempt. She then tried it for a second time at the 55:05 mark although she just couldn’t complete the lift. But she was still very happy to have been able to break the record, lifting 141kg/310lbs.

Afterward, she explained that she was over the moon after setting the record and more than happy even though she didn’t quite get the 151kg (she was close). Next for her is the Silver dollar deadlift world record. She pulled 350kg/770lbs in February in this lift which is insane.

But there’s much more in the pipeline for Rhianon Lovelace as she as mentioned and we definitely look forward to what she has in store for the near future.
