The annual 2024 Toronto Pro Supershow is set to light up Canada this weekend, headlined by the Men’s Open division. In a recent YouTube video, bodybuilders Antoine Vaillant, Justin Shier, and Guy Cisternino offered their top five predictions for the marquee event.
Last year, the 2023 Toronto Pro Supershow saw Canadian native Iain Valliere take home the victory. He came out on top in a close battle against runner-up Hassan Mostafa, who will be in attendance this weekend aiming to take home gold. Shortly after Valliere’s victory, he decided to retire from bodybuilding, admitting that he lacked the desire to continue competing. With that in mind, a new champion will be crowned in Toronto, Canada.
Aside from Mostafa, fans expect strong performances from Akim Williams and Quinton Eriya. Williams placed as high as sixth on the Mr. Olympia stage in 2020, making him the highest-ranking bodybuilder in the lineup. Eriya meanwhile, will aim to bounce back after taking sixth at the recent 2024 New York Pro. In addition, John Jewett and Tim Budesheim will have a shot at the title.

Two votes were cast for Hassan Mostafa to win gold, while Akim Williams received one. Both men boast considerable experience competing on Pro stages. Williams recently tested his mettle against the best at the 2024 Arnold Classic, which was won by Hadi Choopan. In the end, ‘The Beast’ managed to secure a sixth-place position.
The deadline to qualify for the 2024 Mr. Olympia is September 15. Although athletes still have time to ensure their presence on the big stage, there is no point system in place, making their journeys even more challenging. On top of that, only the top three Mr. Olympia finishers are now guaranteed automatic invitations.
With a total of 10 divisions on display at the nearing 2024 Toronto Pro Supershow, this weekend promises to be a telling affair. Whoever walks away with the title will be one step closer to challenging the reigning and defending champion Derek Lunsford on October 11.
