Big Ramy Shoulder Injury

Big Ramy is cutting it really close this time as he must win the Tampa Pro to qualify for the 2019 Mr. Olympia competition. Any other shows after that will qualify a bodybuilder for 2020 and that won’t be good for Ramy as his clock is ticking.

Now, Ramy finished second to Phil Heath in 2017 but then he dropped to a disappointing 6th place in 2018 which caused him to leave the famous Oxygen gym and train with Neil “Yoda” Hill for 2019.

However, things haven’t gone quite as planned for the Egyptian bodybuilder.

Ramy recently sat down with former IFBB Pro Dennis James in an Instagram live interview of which the two discussed whether or not he’d be competing in Tampa come August of which he confirmed he will be, and then he revealed his shoulder injury.

Big Ramy and Dennis James go back pretty far with James having a lot to do with Ramy’s success so it’s fitting that both teamed for a discussion on Ramy’s current situation.

He’s been dealing with this shoulder problem for the past two months which will undoubtedly hinder his training and in the interview, he explained…

“my tendon from biceps touch the bone. And the Doctor he said no don’t train. You know the Doctors here they don’t know nothing about bodybuilding, it makes me crazy”.

This is very disheartening and frustrating for Big Ramy but hopefully, his shoulder issue is a quick fix so he can be at his absolute best for the Tampa Pro in August.
